On May 5, 2021 the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a rezoning on 180 acres located at the southwest corner of Reems Road and Peoria Avenue. The rezoning case consisted of 105 acres of single-family residential land and 75 acres of industrial land. The residential portion will be developed by Richmond American Homes with 359 lots, varying in size from 45x120, 50x120 and 60x125. Bill Lally and Kurt Jones of Tiffany & Bosco deployed an enhanced neighborhood outreach strategy, now common at T&B, to successfully process the rezoning case and companion Comprehensive Plan Amendment in 5 months, receiving unanimous approval at Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors. “It was a pleasure working with the landowner, Virgin Farms V, and Richmond American Homes on this project”, stated Bill Lally. “Both parties saw the value of early and often communication with the community, which ultimately resulted in changes that benefitted the surrounding community without losing any real density.
